Go players who want to visit the Amsterdam Tournament for one day can join the Rapid Tournament on Saturday. In between rounds you can have look at the games in the main tournament. The format of the Rapid tournament is listed below:
- Registration: Saturday, May 23rd, 10.30 – 11.30 hrs. First round starts at 11.30 hrs.
- Tournament fee: €5,-. You can register at the tournament site, preregistration is not required.
- Tournament System: 4 or 5 rounds, McMahon, depending on the number of players
- Time limit: 30 min., no byo-yomi.
- Rules: Japanese
- Handicap: normal handicap minus 2 stones
- Komi for white: 6½ points in even games, ½ point in handicap games
