Amsterdam Go Tournament

For already thirty-seven years the Amsterdam International Go Tournament is one of Europe's main weekend tournaments. Traditionally it takes place during the four-day extended Ascension Day weekend, which always starts at Ascension Thursday, somewhere in May. The tournament normally consists of a six rounds McMahon main tournament and a number of side events, like a lightning tournament, a pair go or rapid tournament and a children's tournament. Since 1992 it took place in the European Go Centre EGCC at the outskirts of Amsterdam.
